The 52-year-old American film and television actress Fran Drescher has played out many roles in real and reel life as, comedian, screenwriter, television director, producer, author, activist and political lobbyist. She is well known for playing Fran Fine on the television series ‘The Nanny’, for which she was nominated for two Emmys and Golden Globe Award. Also, Drescher has received the John Wayne Institute’s Woman of Achievement Award, the Gilda Award, the City of Hope Woman of the Year Award, the Hebrew University Humanitarian Award and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Spirit of Achievement Award. Most recently she was honored with the City of Hope Spirit of Life Award, which was presented to her by Senator Hillary Clinton.
