Paulette Reck, a former pageant titleholder from Baltimore, Maryland who has competed in the Miss USA pageant, graduated from Mercy High School and Villa Julie College, in Stevenson, Maryland, United States. She won the Miss Maryland USA 1968 title. In the same year, Reck was declared the 1st Runner-up to Dorothy Anstett at, Miss USA 1968. In 1969, she won the Miss Maryland - World contest and was declared the 1st Runner-up at Miss World USA. After a successful career in modeling, television, and becoming the face of popular highly brands such as Pontiac and Cadillac as a model and spokesperson, Paulette Reck chose to become a successful wife and mother, as well as establishing herself as a businesswoman as real estate broker in south Florida.

The odd dichotomy is that whilst people like myself are banned due to the purported notion we will somehow 'promote' being unhealthy, we are besieged with media saturated with imagery of Britney Spears, Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton, Kate Moss and Lindsay Lohan. How these women represent good health is somewhat beyond me." As an actress, D'Amour was featured in the title role of Avida, the 2006 French film directed by Gustave de Kervern and Benoît Delépine, which was selected for the 2006 Cannes and 2007 Tribeca Film Festivals.

She also walked the ramp for John Galliano's prêt-à-porter showing entitled ‘Everybody is Beautiful’ in 2006. At the time of her 2006 runway appearances, D'Amour was 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed 300 pounds. She is basically a fashion photographer and actress.

Crystal Renn, 23, an American fashion model and author from Miami, Florida, is the only plus-size model to appear on a Harper's Bazaar magazine cover and appearing in four international Vogue editions. Renn had lucrative contracts with famous plus size clothing manufacturers like Lane Bryant, Evans and Torrid. On the runway she modeled garments and accessories for Vena Cava, Heatherette, Elena Miro, and Jean-Paul Gaultier.
