American country music artist Miranda Lambert, born on November 10, 1983, became famous as a finalist of the 2003 season of Nashville Star, finishing in third place. She made her debut with ‘Me and Charlie Talking’ the single from her album Kerosene (2005), which was certified Platinum in the United States. Her debut single, along with her other three singles ‘Bring Me Down’, ‘Kerosene’ and ‘New Strings’, were among the ‘Top 40 Hits’ of Billboard Hot Country Songs.

The photo shows a bikini clad model posing at the 2010 Run to the Sun Fashion Show at Anchorage, Alaska, in April 2010. It is a business-cum- fashion show for woman's clothing and also tanning. This seems to be one of the best shots by this gifted photographer, though, as he mentioned in the footnotes below this photo at his Flickr.com web-page that the lighting at the Sullivan Arena where the show was held was ‘absolutely horrible - like something out of a bomb shelter’. The English actress Andrea Louise Riseborough, 30, who grew up in Whitley Bay, as the daughter of "working-class Thatcherites" (as she described her parents), has acted in a number of television productions and films, including Venus (2006 film), Magicians (2007 British comedy film), Happy-Go-Lucky (2008 British Comedy-drama film), Made in Dagenham (2010 British film released as We Want Sex Equality in France, and re-titled as We Want Sex in Germany and Italy), Never Let Me Go (2010 British drama film), Brighton Rock is (2010 British film), W.E. (a romantic drama film, 2011) and Welcome to the Punch a British thriller scheduled for release in 2012).
In ‘Margaret Thatcher - The Long Walk to Finchley’, a 2008 BBC Four television drama, Andrea Riseborough portrayed the role of the young Margaret Thatcher (nee Margaret Roberts) trying to shape her political career and facing many hurdles till her winning of the Finchley seat in the 1959 election. The TV drama also throws light on portrays Margaret Thatcher’s personal relationship and marriage with Denis Thatcher. For her portrayal of Thatcher Andrea Riseborough was nominated for a BAFTA TV Award.

Waiting for henna
Henna extracts, mainly from the crushed leaves of Henna plant (Lawsonia inermis) have been used by human beings as skin and hair dye for about 6,000 years.
The typical Henna color is imparted to the skin or hair because of the molecules of hennotannic acid, commonly known as lawsone (2-hydroxy-1, 4-naphthoquinone), a red-orange dye, present in Henna extracts. Lawsone reacts with the protein named keratin which is present in hair and skin to produce a permanent pigmentation that will last till the hair is shed or the skin wears away when the pigmented dead cells exfoliate.
Immediately after application of Henna paste, a light red-orange color will be imparted to the skin or hair. For stronger (or darker) pigmentation (say, reddish brown), the Henna mix must be left on the skin or hair for several hours. After drying, the mix is simply scrapped or brushed away, after which only the color will remain on the skin or hair.
Cleopatra and Nefertiti had used it, as historical facts show, and it is known to have been used in many areas of Africa, the Middle East and India from ancient times.
Now henna is packaged in ready-to-apply mixes of several types in Australia, Canada, European countries, India, Middle East countries, the United States, and many other countries. The color variations now available from commercial Henna packs vary from colors such as orange, orange-red, auburn, chestnut brown, deep burgundy, deep blue-black, indigo, etc.

The Egyptian model Sara El-Khouly, born in Cairo, Egypt, on 15 February 1988, was crowned Miss Egypt World 2010 in July 2010 in Cairo, following which she represented her country at the Miss World 2010 beauty contest, held in Sanya, China on 20 October 2010. Following that Sara El-Khouly represented Egypt at the Miss Mediterranean beauty pageant held in Nicosia, Cyprus, on 4 June 2011, and won the crown. As there was no national beauty pageant in Egypt in 2011 because of the political changes, El-Khouly was selected as the official Egyptian entry for Miss Universe 2011 pageant held in São Paulo, Brazil.

The Ecuadorian beauty, born to an Ecuadorian father and a Swiss mother, is a professional make-up artist and simultaneously is studying at Universidad Del Pacifico for a bachelor's degree in business engineering. She had studied modern dance for six years in the Galápagos, and enjoys theater and music.
Besides winning the title of Miss Ecuador 2011, Schiess also won the awards of the Best Face, the Best Figure and Best Hair in her country’s pageant.
