American actress Sandra Bullock with the Screen Actors Guild Award (Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role) for her role as Leigh Anne Tuohy in the film The Blind Side, written and directed by John Lee Hancock, based on the 2006 book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis on the real life story of Michael Oher (played by Quinton Aaron). The Blind Side is nominated for the Best Motion Picture Oscar. She has also been nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for her role in the film for which she will be competing against Helen Mirren (The Last Station), Carey Mulligan (An Education), Gabourey Sidibe (Precious), and Meryl Streep (Julie and Julia).
