Priyamani born on June 4, 1983 in Palakkad, Kerala, India, is winner of National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the 2006 Tamil film Paruthi Veeran directed by Ameer Sultan. Her birth name is Priya Vasudev Mani Iyer but she is better known by her stage name Priyamani. She is one of the most talented and accomplished Indian actresses, having acted in several Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam language films.
